Artist statement

Shoghi's work frequently draws on a blend of traditional and contemporary influences, which she expresses through various mediums, including mixed media sculptures.

Angels and demons are enduring motifs across various cultures, serving the artist as guardians and symbols of both good and evil. Through her collection, she invites the audience to explore the depths of her heritage, drawing upon ancient motifs inspired by Persian carpets and tiles.

These elements, imbued with the power of words and numbers, channel the energies of love and fertility, offering protection and healing. By incorporating Rumi's poetry and traditional Iranian designs into the forms of demons and angels, the artist seeks to evoke a sense of love, kindness, and guardianship.
