about this acrylic painting
“The Spiral Symphony” radiates with layered intensity, its textured surface alive with deep blue and vibrant green hues. The composition feels both dynamic and deliberate, as paint builds into ridges and valleys, creating a tactile, immersive presence.
The swirling interplay of blue and green evokes rhythm, harmony, and natural energy, capturing the essence of a spiraling, abstract landscape. Stillness and movement coexist, as if the painting holds untold stories within its layered surface.
Through scale and texture, Rawia transforms color into a living force, inviting viewers to pause and feel its resonance. This expressive landscape is ideal for interior design, adding depth, fluidity, and a striking visual focal point to any space.
about the artist
Rawia Ghandour Zantout (b. 1971) is a Franco-Lebanese self-taught painter whose passion for art endured despite her father’s objections. While studying business and finance at the International University of Monaco, she secretly pursued art courses that shaped her distinctive style.
Influenced by Impressionist masters and the beauty of the South of France, her work often captures magical reflections in nature and landscape. Her technique is unique, involving more than fifteen paint layers to create striking three-dimensional textures and visual depth. Known for her large scale canvases, her paintings highlight a vivid interplay of light, color, and emotional resonance.
Rawia began her career by teaching children through the “Mishmash Kids Club.” She later gained recognition through ecological commissions for major banks. In 2007, she entered political art with her March 14 Revolution painting, now housed in former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s office. She has since painted official portraits of leaders including Vladimir Putin, Michel Aoun, and Saad Hariri. Her artworks are displayed in esteemed institutions such as the Kremlin and the Lebanese Serail.
Her artworks have been widely exhibited in Lebanon and internationally, including the Sursock Museum and Les Plumes Gallery. In 2024, she presented Ephemeral Escape, a solo exhibition with Rebirth Beirut. In 2018, she was a finalist in the Global Art Awards in Dubai.
Today, Rawia continues to create textured, layered works that merge landscape, light, and emotion, inspiring audiences worldwide. Her artworks are also exceptional for interior design projects, as their large scale dimensions, rich textures, and vibrant colors add depth, atmosphere, and a dynamic focal point to any space.
