about the artist

Vincent Barrau is a French artist living in Thailand for over seven years. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in design and 3D animation.

Before fully committing to art, he led businesses in communication and international stone trading. His work involved marble, granite, quartz, and other natural materials. Relocating to Thailand marked a decisive turning point in his professional journey. Three years ago, he shifted his focus toward metal sculpture and contemporary art.

Stainless steel became his primary medium of expression. Each artwork begins as a detailed 3D design before becoming a physical sculpture. His works belong to contemporary art, exploring human forms, both male and female.

They express emotion, inner narratives, and human vulnerability through industrial materials. Light reflections soften the metal, revealing unexpected warmth and sensitivity. His sculptures complement interior design, elevating spaces with subtle elegance and emotional depth.

His metal works are entirely handcrafted with exceptional artisanal precision. His technique relies on assembling stainless steel plates, bolts, washers, and cut components. Each element is carefully positioned and welded together by hand. This process demands patience, meticulous attention, and advanced technical mastery.
