about this paper mache sculpture

This rooster sculpture stands with the quiet authority of a dawn sentinel. It brings rural memory into vivid presence. Created in true-to-life scale, the rooster feels both familiar and quietly monumental.

It carries the energy of courtyards waking to morning calls. Painted in natural reds, whites, and warm brown hues, the surface echoes earth, feather, and fire. Each color feels drawn from the landscape itself.

The form leans toward realism while preserving Mashmouli’s poetic sculptural language. It balances observation with emotional resonance. Resting on a wooden base, the sculpture is grounded yet visually commanding. The base frames the work like a small stage for daily ritual.

Mashmouli’s mixed media technique elevates papier mâché into a vessel of narrative and symbolism. Humble material becomes unexpectedly powerful. This rooster paper mache sculpture is more than a figure. It is a marker of rhythm, awakening, and continuity. Place it where presence matters. Its lifelike scale introduces warmth, character, and a quiet sense of guardianship.
