about this Digital Photography
“Daisy Girl” is part of Carla Sutera Sardo’s poetic series capturing women paired with symbolic elements from nature. In this work, a serene female figure is adorned with fresh daisies, their soft petals echoing themes of innocence, renewal, and quiet strength. The composition balances minimalism with intimacy, allowing the floral details and subtle body language to tell an unspoken story.
Through her signature staging, Sutera Sardo transforms the simple act of holding or wearing daisies into a moment of dreamlike reverie. The image invites viewers to pause, immersing themselves in a space where beauty feels both delicate and enduring, a celebration of femininity framed in light, shadow, and symbolic bloom.
about the artist
Carla Sutera Sardo (b. 1983, Agrigento) is an Italian photographer exploring the relationship between women and natural landscapes. She began her practice during university studies in Palermo and Rome, teaching herself through self-portraiture.
