about this bronze sculpture
Sadegh Adham’s Camel Series bronze sculptures, enhanced with patina and adorned with Islamic calligraphy, explore themes of endurance, spirituality, and cultural symbolism. The camel, revered in many cultures, represents resilience, adaptability, and the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.
In Islamic art and culture, the camel embodies both practical importance and sacred symbolism, often associated with journeys and the divine. Adham reimagines the camel, blending its utilitarian strength with the spiritual elegance of Islamic calligraphy, reflecting both tradition and modern artistic expression.
The patina on the bronze sculptures adds depth, warmth, and texture, accentuating the intricate calligraphy details. The patina enhances the camel's form, highlighting its strength and grace while the calligraphy weaves an additional layer of meaning, connecting the piece to Islamic heritage.
Bronze, known for its durability and ability to capture fine details, portrays the camel’s enduring essence. The rich tones of the patina complement the flowing lines of the calligraphy, creating a striking visual effect that grounds the sculpture in both cultural depth and contemporary artistry.
Adham’s Camel Series unites materiality and spirituality, capturing the camel’s strength and symbolic importance. Each sculpture invites reflection, bridging timeless traditions with innovative, culturally rich artistry.

Symbolic volumes with calligraphy, locks, zarih (an orante that encloses a grave in a mosque or Islamic shrine) and Phoenix, each of which is a sign of Persian tales and stories while also being beautiful and commendable.

His mythical creatures series of bronze sculptures features dynamic figurines of dominant, feisty bulls and gracefully resting horses, mysterious owls, majestic lions, resilient camels, and enchanting birds. All of which represent conventional symbols of virility, fertility, wisdom, and power.
