about this paper mache sculpture
This contemporary rooster sculpture stands like a moving horizon at the edge of morning It brings rural memory into vivid presence. The elongated blue body stretches upward with quiet tension and fluid grace. Its long neck feels suspended, like a thought reaching toward light. A touch of yellow crowns the head, glowing like a distant sun or first call of dawn.
The form resists realism, embracing gesture, rhythm, and poetic distortion. The sculpture rests on a simple wooden base, grounding its abstract energy in natural warmth. The contrast heightens its sculptural presence and visual balance. Mashmouli’s mixed media approach gives papier mâché expressive strength and symbolic depth. The rooster becomes a sign, not a figure.
This work bridges sound, memory, and movement through form alone. It invites contemplation, imagination, and a slower reading of space. Display this piece where abstraction and emotion are welcome. Its presence introduces rhythm, color, and quiet intensity.
