Grandeur is a striking wood sculpture which combines aspen burl and walnut wood with exceptional craftsmanship and vision. The main vessel consists of two nested bowls, seamlessly turned from a single piece of aspen wood. This design creates the illusion of one bowl floating inside another, evoking depth and layered meaning.

The smooth curves and refined finish highlight the natural grain and organic beauty of the wood. Its tall walnut base introduces a second turning technique, distinct from the vessel’s form and equally captivating. Within the base, a hollowed, cage-like structure appears to hold a piece suspended inside. This detail adds sculptural intrigue and balance, elevating both the literal and visual height of the piece. 

The extended base is intentionally tall, designed to draw the viewer’s eye and enhance visibility of the vessel. “Grandeur” is a celebration of scale, contrast, and the dialogue between traditional technique and contemporary design.
