About the artist

Seena Nayeri, born in March 1983 in Mashhad, Iran, is an accomplished sculptor celebrated for his innovative approach to blending traditional and contemporary artistic methods. His work demonstrates a mastery of form and texture, reflecting his dedication to exploring the interplay between materiality and conceptual depth.

Nayeri began his artistic journey in 2007 under the mentorship of the renowned Iranian sculptor Parviz Tanavoli. This pivotal relationship greatly influenced his creative direction, allowing him to refine his skills and develop a unique voice within the sculptural arts. Nayeri’s practice is characterized by his ability to harmonize opposing elements, often combining smooth and textured surfaces to evoke a sense of contrast and balance.

His sculptures frequently delve into themes of human emotion and existential inquiry. Pieces like "Dazed," a compact yet evocative clay sculpture, encapsulate his talent for capturing complex emotional states through abstract forms.
