about this mixed media on canvas painting
This mixed media on canvas painting belongs to Omid Masoumi’s contemplative series There There, created in 2017. The work combines acrylic, ink, and layered textures to form a minimal, poetic surface.
Soft lines and faded tones suggest quiet spaces between presence and absence. Geometric forms and floating elements evoke distance, memory, and emotional restraint. The subdued palette, earth tones, greys, and muted blues invites stillness and introspection.
Each mark feels deliberate, yet weightless, allowing silence to shape the visual rhythm. Masoumi uses space as language, communicating what cannot be said with words. The title There There reflects both comfort and quiet discomfort, something offered, but unresolved.
This painting mirrors internal states of uncertainty, patience, and emotional distance. It is part of a deeply personal exploration of how we see and feel presence in others and ourselves.
