about this bronze sculpture
Sadegh Adham’s Bird Series bronze sculptures, enhanced with patina and featuring a sword as the bird’s beak, explore power. The bird, symbolizing freedom and transcendence, is reimagined with a sword, representing strength, justice, and truth.
Birds often symbolize the soul’s journey, while swords signify power, protection, and conflict. Adham blends these symbols, merging elegance and force.
The patina on the bronze sculptures adds depth, texture, and contrast, emphasizing both the bird’s fluidity and the sword’s edge. The rich tones of the patina enhance the forms, highlighting the bird's grace and the sword's sharpness.
Bronze, known for its durability, captures intricate details, bringing both the bird’s delicate wings and the sword’s sharp contours to life. The patina’s earthy tones create a compelling visual effect, grounding the sculpture in material and symbolic strength.
Adham’s Bird Series unites materiality and mythology, showcasing the bird’s freedom and the sword’s strength. Each sculpture invites reflection.
