about this bronze sculpture
Farangis is a prominent female character in the Persian epic Shahnameh, authored by Ferdowsi. She is the eldest daughter of Afrasiab, the king of Turan, and becomes the second and favored wife of Siyavash, the saintly prince of Iran.
Farangis is also the mother of the legendary hero and later Shah of Iran, Kai Khosrow. Despite her Turanian heritage, Farangis demonstrates unwavering loyalty to her husband's kingdom and dynasty.
This bronze sculpture features symbolic forms with intricate calligraphy, inspired by Iranian tales, paying homage to the country's rich cultural heritage. The design thoughtfully merges traditional motifs with modern aesthetics, creating a harmonious blend of historical significance and contemporary artistic vision.
Enhanced by a patina finish, the surface exudes depth and texture, adding character and a timeless quality to the piece. The patina accentuates the interplay of light and shadow, further enriching the sculpture's visual and tactile appeal. This work bridges the past and present, inviting viewers to reflect on the enduring beauty of Iranian stories and artistry.

His mythical creatures series of bronze sculptures features dynamic figurines of dominant, feisty bulls and gracefully resting horses, mysterious owls, majestic lions, resilient camels, and enchanting birds. All of which represent conventional symbols of virility, fertility, wisdom, and power.
