about this bronze sculpture
Sadegh Adham’s bronze sculpture, combining a horse and a bird, explores themes of power, freedom, and transformation in mythology. The horse symbolizes strength and nobility, while the bird represents transcendence and spiritual freedom, blending their meanings into one dynamic form. In Persian mythology, the horse connects to celestial heroes, while the bird embodies divine guidance and soaring ambition. Adham reimagines these symbols, merging the horse’s grounded power with the bird’s ethereal grace, creating a figure that defies boundaries.
The patinated bronze medium enhances the sculpture’s texture, adding depth and contrast to its surface. The patina emphasizes intricate details, highlighting the horse’s muscular form and the bird’s delicate wings. Bronze’s durability allows for lifelike motion and expression, capturing the fusion of earth and sky. The earthy tones and patina connect the sculpture to cultural and mythological traditions, making it a timeless piece of artistry.
