More info: Siamak Azmi is a Postwar & Contemporary artist. Throughout his creative process, Azmi has gone through various phases. Early on, he used objectivist and representational painting techniques to create images that were symbolic and poetic in their subject matter and logical organization. Doll legs began to appear in Azmi's artwork in the 2000s.

He created his famous paintings by arranging a pile of dolls on the ground. These large-scale paintings follow a realistic approach. Objectivism, finishes, and volumes are derived from pre-modern painting methods.

What makes these paintings unique is not in his painting style but in his subjects. In these pieces, determined symbolic mentalities take on a more calculated form. He places a wooden mannequin in the center of his picture "Deception," for instance, and surrounds it with a swarm of dolls. By omitting the titles of the works in other panels in this collection, the artist gives room for the audience's interpretations and ease of reading.

As he says in an interview, he prefers that each person experiences his paintings depending on their imagination and mental backgrounds rather than forcing a particular narrative on them. He also wants to keep the varied perspectives of his audience. Also reminiscent of American pop art are the plastic, vibrant Walt Disney figures that are present in these frames.

His artworks are stored at major art institutions in Iran, France, Turkey, England, Canada, and Qatar, where he has held multiple exhibitions.
