about this fiberglass sculpture
"How Do You Feel Today?" is a sculptural series by Behnaz Mohammad hadi featuring fiberglass brain forms transformed with striking symbolic elements. Each piece explores a different emotional or psychological state through added materials such as padlocks, insects, horns, painted surfaces, or metal features.
The brain, as a universal symbol of thought and consciousness, becomes a canvas for layered metaphors. A locked brain may suggest suppressed emotions or guarded thoughts, while painted or insect-covered versions evoke vulnerability, tension, or mental overload. These mixed-media additions turn each sculpture into a reflection of inner complexity.
Crafted in fiberglass, the works are lightweight yet durable, with finely finished surfaces that heighten their visual and emotional impact. Through minimal forms and precise alterations, Mohammadhadi invites viewers to consider the unseen struggles and layered realities of the human mind.
