about this bronze sculpture
Sadegh Adham’s bronze sculpture, combining the forms of a cow and a tiger with patina, explores themes of duality and strength. The cow, a symbol of nourishment and peace, contrasts with the tiger, representing power and ferocity.
In many cultures, the cow symbolizes gentleness and abundance, while the tiger embodies courage and primal energy. Adham merges these opposing forces, creating a unique fusion of strength and calm.
The patina on the bronze adds depth and texture, highlighting the dynamic interplay between the cow’s serene form and the tiger’s fierce presence. The earthy tones of the patina enhance the forms, emphasizing their contrasting qualities.
Bronze, known for its durability and ability to capture intricate details, brings the powerful forms of both animals to life. The patina’s rich tones accentuate the dynamic contrast, grounding the sculpture in both materiality and symbolic power.
Adham’s sculpture unites these contrasting elements, creating a powerful representation of harmony and conflict. Each piece invites reflection on balance, blending strength and serenity through innovative artistry.
