More info: Born in 1959 in Arak, Iran, Mohammad Hadi Fadavi abandoned his studies in Persian literature to pursue his love of art. Over the years, Mohammad, a painter, stage and costume designer, has developed a distinctive aesthetic voice that makes a striking and logical connection between miniature and contemporary Iranian art.
He has also worked as stage and costume assistant with renowned film directors such as Ebrahim Hatami. Animal motifs such as fish, owl, and rooster play a prominent role in his works. Later, the cypress (tree of life) entered his works in linear form, and horses gradually became the main elements of his paintings.
Mohammad gives his artwork a unique personality by capturing the charm of miniature painting in a contemporary context and allowing it to develop as a historical process. He emphasizes the value of harmony in both substance and form in every piece by inviting viewers to study and explore his paintings.
Riderless horses in brilliant shades of blue, turquoise, saffron, white, and grayish-white amble through the framed picture, touching and changing color when they cross one another to enhance visual elegance and reflect the artist's love of beauty and refinement.
He has participated in a variety of exhibitions across Europe, in Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, and Germany, and has won numerous regional and international awards. His paintings were selected by the International Museum of 20th Century Arts TIMOTCA to represent Iran's art.
